I’m a huge fan of cold soaking especially when adventuring in hot desert temps, and I love that I can completely skip over the need to boil water first. Even better is that it gives you a hearty dose of zesty veggies, whereas most backpacking meals don’t offer that. *Pro Tip* go snag some spicy Thai tuna packets and hearty grain bread, then top that sammie off with some of this slaw and you’ve got yourself a 5 star lunch full of flavor.
