Shipping Policy

Erem® offers free shipping on all orders over $50.

Orders placed before 11:30AM CT will ship the same day, otherwise it will ship the next business day. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will be shipped out on the next business day. Note: Transit times vary by shipping service selected at time of order, holidays and weekends, and unexpected weather delays.

Erem offsets 100% of the carbon emissions from all shipping of our products to / from our customers.

International Shipping

Erem will ship internationally, however we are unable to offer free shipping at this time. Our store will always calculate the most cost effective shipping options for you.

We ask our international customer to also please be aware of their country specific import/duty fees. These fees are the responsibility of the customer.

Return/Exchanges Policy

Erem® will accept returns of all unworn and unaltered products for up to 30 days for a full refund to your original method of payment, or an exchange in a different size minus the cost of return shipping. Your return will not be accepted if they arrive with any signs of outdoor wear.  We understand the rush to get outside, but suggest that you first try on all products inside to ensure they fit before venturing out. If the original method of payment is unavailable, we will issue your refund in the form of store credit. 

Erem will exchange unworn and unaltered products minus the cost of return shipping. You can even use the original box!

Please note: marketplace items are non-returnable.

Refunds

Once our warehouse has received and processed your return, we will automatically issue a full refund to your original method of payment minus the cost of the return shipping. If the original method of payment is unavailable, we will issue your refund in the form of store credit. 

You will receive an email notification as soon as your refund has been processed. 

A refund may take up to 10 business days.

Warranty

Material and Workmanship Warranty

Erem also warrants that new Erem products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product. However, this warranty does not cover damage or malfunctions caused by accidents, modification, improper storage or handling.

All warranty items will be evaluated by Erem and decisions will be made at the sole discretion of the Erem warranty department.

Where can I try on a pair of Erem® boots?

How quickly will my boots ship?

Are Erem® boots waterproof?

The Xerocole® and Xerocole Expedition boots are water-resistant, but not waterproof. This means you will stay dry in light rain and short stream crossings, but Erem boots are not meant to be submerged and are not made to be waterproof—they are made to be breathable! 

Why are my boots hairy?

Erem uses reverse, full grain leather and the "hair" or nap you are seeing is a natural part of the leather. In an effort to reduce our waste, Erem uses leather with a range of nap in order to reduce our leather waste significantly unlike most leather products. The nap will flatten over time and if you wish you can raise it back up with a brush.

Can I get replacement laces?

Erem boots are made to be durable, so over time they will outlast their original laces. Please reach out to us in the chat or email us at guide@eremlife.comand we will set you up with a new pair of laces to get your back into the desert!

Do Erem® boots require a break-in period?

Erem boots are made with premium, sustainable, full-grain leather. We recommend giving them a few short walks to mold to your feet before you take them on your next epic adventure.

Can I buy a single shoe?

Sorry, we cannot accommodate single shoe orders at this time. Our footwear is manufactured and sold in pairs.

If you require two different size shoes, we would recommend contacting the National Odd Shoe Exchange (oddshoe.org) where they can try to match you up with someone to exchange for the correct sizes needed.

How do I repair my Erem® boots?

Can I use my custom orthotics with Erem® boots?

Yes, you can use custom orthotics with Erem boots. Simply remove our insole and replace it with yours. 

Are the Men’s and Women’s products the same?

While Erem offers different colors in our Men’s and Women’s collections, the products are unisex except for the sizing. Our Men’s sizes are 2 full sizes greater than our Women’s sizes, so a US Men’s 8 is equivalent to a US Women’s 10. 

Do you offer wide or narrow widths?

Currently, our shoes only come in a standard D width. Feel free to reach out to us in the chat or email us at guide@eremlife.com and if you’d like help with making the right sizing decision.

Does Erem® ship internationally?

How do I unsubscribe from Erem® emails?

At the bottom of each email newsletter you receive from Erem, there is an "Unsubscribe" hyperlink in the fine print. Even if you have unsubscribed from Erem email newsletters, we will still send you emails related to any purchases you make on Eremlife.com

Why is my discount code not working?

The product I want is out of stock. When will it be back in stock?

Where are the boots made?

Our initial production on the Xerocole boots from Erem was done in Europe due to environmental considerations (the footwear is very innovative and required working with specialty partners currently only found in Europe). Currently most of the handcrafting is done in Portugal with the finishing touches completed in a sister factory in Albania. That said, Erem is actively exploring relationships with US partners for its repair program.
